  • Ammonia is traditionally used in hair color to open the hair cuticle so pigment can penetrate. While effective, it creates a very strong, sharp odor and can feel irritating or drying for some people.

    Color Space Zero hair color is formulated without ammonia and without many of the harsh odor-causing ingredients commonly found in traditional color. Instead, it uses alternative technologies that allow color to develop while maintaining a more comfortable experience for both the hair and scalp.

    The formula is designed to be gentle and conditioning, supporting softness, shine, and scalp comfort while still delivering rich, dimensional color. Many clients notice little to no strong chemical smell during their service, making it an ideal option for those sensitive to scent or scalp irritation.

  • It’s best to book your appointment at least one to two weeks in advance, especially for color services or specialty treatments, as my schedule fills up quickly.

  • Yes. Every appointment begins with a thoughtful consultation to discuss your goals, hair history, lifestyle, and maintenance preferences. This ensures your service is personalized and intentional from start to finish.

  • While I primarily work by appointment, I welcome walk-ins when availability allows. Please call ahead to check for openings. Or you can reference my calendar for availability on the Scheduling Page.

  • We kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to accommodate other clients and maintain smooth scheduling.

    Cancellations made without prior notice or on the same day of the appointment will incur a $15 fee. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in respecting our time and services.

  • Braids typically last 1-2 weeks depending on your at-home care. However, this is usually the ideal time to wash your hair to maintain scalp health and freshness.

  • Each product is thoroughly researched and carefully selected. Only the highest quality, eco-friendliest, and best smelling products are chosen. For exceptional results we provide a refined sensory experience.

  • Arrive with clean or lightly styled hair and be prepared to discuss your hair history and goals. Photos are welcome and can be helpful during the consultation. If your hair is not freshly washed, no worries. A shampoo is included with your service.
